The Principles:

James A. Smith, an exceptional idea man, new product development scientist, experienced marketer, and prolific inventor started his R&D career at Lever Brothers (Unilever). At Lehn & Fink, after formulating Mop 'n Glo® and Beacon Floor Wax, Jim made the transition from formulation chemist to marketing as Manager of New Products and was responsible for Wet Ones®, and several Lysol® brand innovations. Jim was VP of R&D for Airwick Industries and in charge of the entire product development program including Binaca® line extensions, the introduction of StickUps® and the revolutionary Carpet Fresh® Rug & Room Deodorizer. One of Jim's unique talents is his ability to apply specific chemistries to unrelated categories and create patent platforms that expand the technologies.
