Multi faceted automatic dishwasher blend integrating a unique pH activated
rinse agent component into a granular detergent composition. The resultant
product is a novel "boosted" dishwasher detergent plus rinse
aid that dissolves grease and food soils and eliminates spots and streaks
leaving dish loads sparkling clean, clear and shiny.
PATENT STANCE
U. S. Patent #5,453,216 issued September 1995
Canadian Patent - pending
DEVELOPER'S SOLUTION
We developed a technologically superior detergent system that incorporates a relatively insoluble rinse aid phase formulated to enhance the detergent action during the wash cycles yet remain viable for carry over to the rinse cycle to soften water and eliminate hard water spot and streak residues.
MARKETER'S VIEWPOINT
Introduce an automatic dishwasher detergent with the rinse agent built right in . . . 2 products in one!
MARKETING STRAGEGY
The first "boosted action" dishwasher detergent with its own supply of "time release" water conditioning and rinse agent beads for the cleanest cookware, clearest glass and shiniest dishes and silverware ever. "Now, there's no need to buy a separate rinse aid product."
CONSUMER'S REVIEW
Qualitative concept tests conducted in several cities in the U.S. and Europe resulted in an excellent level of Intent to Purchase. Consumers in hard water areas, who routinely use, and often forget to refill their rinse agent dispenser, are especially interested in a dishwasher detergent that promises better cleaning and clearer finished dish loads without having to remember to buy and use a separate rinse aid.
TECHNOLOGY FLEXIBILITY
Currently available ReGenesis systems based on this patent are adaptable to a variety of detergent formulations. Both phosphate and non-phosphate systems are available. Additional variations may include the controlled dissolution of a range of components in specific pre-wash, wash and rinse cycles including air freshening, deodorizing fragrances and oxygenated ingredients released into the rinse cycles.
